Frank (Butch) Minyard, Jr. holds a Master Plumbing License to practice in the states of North and South Carolina, and his credibility runs deep. In 1983, he launched Minyard Plumbing, Inc. His passion was to provide clients with top quality service at reasonable rates.
When the business began, it had one plumber, a 1962 truck, an answering service and a pager. Today, Minyard Plumbing boasts a full office staff and has a fleet of 7 trucks. It has become one of the most reputable enterprises in the tri-county area.
Butch has been in the plumbing industry for more than 35 years, having learned everything from his father, Frank, who was not just a skilled plumber but a highly respected member of the Hickory community. He passed away in 1981, and, two years later, Butch made the decision to follow in his footsteps.
Butch is very proud of his company and his heritage, but he’s even prouder that his family is involved in the business. His wife, Jan, is always in the office to make sure everything runs efficiently. And, she’s no slouch with a wrench either – she also holds a Master Plumbing License for both North and South Carolina.
The third generation of the Minyard family who chose to be a plumber is Scott – Butch and Jan’s son. He too holds a Master Plumbing License in NC. Their daughter, Amy, handles reception, customer service and runs the showroom. Daughter-in-law, Mitzi Minyard, does customer service and reception.
Last, but not least, there are 5 professional technicians. Here’s a photo of the whole Minyard team:
